Last Thursday we were greeted by two Live briefs at college. One for a Scottish organisation called Business Gateway, to create a name, logo and use their strapline for a new project of theirs. The project is aimed at people in their 20's who have a creative qualification and have yet managed to find work within the industry. This helps them with funding and training to create their own business.
My Logo reached the final two out of 11 solutions, I find out the end of this week sometime whether or not it was chosen! Exciting times!

Our Second client was our college Adam Smith and the university we get our degree from, Abertay Dundee. We had to redesign their awful poster for their project called Graduates of the 21st century. We had to use all the wording already on the poster and terminology. This was my solution which had the lecturers in turmoil but sadly didn't get chosen in the final 3 as it didn't look like it was an Educational poster. Shame.

With regards to projects for college, we haven't really been doing much to be fair. I have chosen my sound part to sound and vision which is a song I love by Pink called Glitter in the Air. I hope to shoot some footage of me singing the song and some quite literal shots to do with the lyrics, possible some flash animation for kinetic typography also.
As for Personal Project, I have decided to do a photography album/book. I will be focussing on people's favourite places within Scotland, a contrast between urban and rural photography and all over Scotland depending on people's choices. I have chosen to ask people I don't know who are my age, 22, and 22 of them random questions about places they have visited, why they liked them, their favourite places etc. I will photograph them and document my findings within the book. I also hope to exhibit the photography somewhere within in Edinburgh, hopefully Ocean Terminal, so keep an eye out!
Sonar project is slow, mainly due to the fact that we have 12 weeks to complete it and our lecturer thinks this is plenty time, so we are just creating digital publishing stuff just now and displaying it on a wall installation within the college. We placed some up today and we had such a mixed bag of work due to it being an open brief. Here is my contribution:

Thanks for reading folks, and Please comment as I only have one so far!
